events diary 2025 / 2026
This diary will be completely updated in January, as more dates are confirmed. . .  so check back regularly! In the meantime we've left last year's event guide in place to give you some inspiration, with, wherever possible, links to the event's own website and a what3words location.
You'll also find local weather averages for each season (including sea temperatures), courtesy of the Met Office. Because South Pembrokeshire is effectively a peninsular, surrounded on three sides by sea, this evens out the sweltering highs and frigid lows. . . creating a 'Goldilocks' micro-climate near the coast! All temperatures are shown in °Centigrade

spring

March, April & May
Climate & weather: Spring in Pembrokeshire is perfect for hiking, with usual highs between 10° & 15° (although we've topped 20° in April & May for the last three years!) and nightime lows rarely falling below 7°, making it a popular time to walk the Coastal Path. Historically, at least 1mm of rain has fallen on 11 days in each month. It takes the sea a little while to warm up, so a wetsuit is recommended with water temperatures rising during spring from 8° to 12° over the period.
May: Tour of Pembrokeshire is a must-do event for sportive riders, attracting cyclists of all abilities from around the world. Enjoy the festival atmosphere, starting and finishing at Dewi Campus, St Davids. ///soft.fragments.blurs
May: Fishguard Folk Festival mostly free concerts, sessions and workshops, with a small number of ticketed headline shows. For everything else, just turn up in town and enjoy it! ///apprehend.statement.bracelet

winter

November & December
Climate & weather: The winter months of November, December, January & February tend to be the wettest, with an average of 15 days in each month experiencing at least 1mm of rain. However, thanks to the Goldilocks effect of the sea, you can still expect daytime temperatures to reach 8°, falling to lows of 4° at night. . . frost is considered an 'extreme' weather event here! Thanks to the Gulf Stream, winter sea temperatures rarely fall below 8°, before recovering from mid-April onwards.
